Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Parkview Health will debut a new management services company, UpVia Health, on June 16.
Five things to know:
1. UpVia Health, backed by Parkview and other partners, is designed to support small to mid-sized independent hospitals and medical groups with clinical and operational services, according to its website.
2. Parkview said in a news release that initial offerings will include revenue cycle and pharmacy management, supply chain management, group purchasing services and virtual care services.
3. Additionally, Parkview Connect — a program that gives independent hospitals and physicians access to Parkview’s Epic EMR system — will also be among the initial offerings through Upvia Health.
4. “Parkview Health is proud to be industry-leading in safety and quality, patient experience and workplace culture,” Ray Dusman, MD, president of physician and clinical enterprise at Parkview Health, said in the release. “UpVia Health is a natural transition to share that expertise with other hospitals and physicians to create a healthier future for all.”
5. Parkview Health is a nonprofit, community-based health system with 16,000 co-workers at 14 hospitals and more than 200 outpatient centers and physician offices in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio.
