All 25 Nueterra facilities, including surgery centers and hospitals, generated this result on CTQ’s automated survey, the only management company to achieve this level in 2009, according to CTQ president and CEO Paul Faraclas.
“We’ve been saying for some time that physician-owned facilities are part of the healthcare reform solution because they provide patients with a quality, convenient and comfortable alternative for receiving the care they need,” David Ayers, president of Nueterra’s surgical facilities division, said in the release. “Nueterra is pleased to be a leader in the industry and will always be committed to our patients.”
Three Nueterra facilities also received CTQ’s Apex Quality Award, which is given to the highest performing healthcare facilities, in October. The award recognizes providers for their excellence in patient satisfaction and loyalty attributes. To receive the award, a facility must:
- Fall within the top 10 percent of its peers’ overall score average;
- Meet a minimum threshold response for surveys returned during the past year by facility type; and
- Measure a minimum number of key performance indicators selected by CTQ.
